5 Highly Anticipated Dramas Of The Season
There’s an exciting line up of dramas that are soon to hit our television screens. Here’s a list of five dramas that we cannot wait to watch
1. Ishq e Laa
The drama stars Sajal Aly and Yumna Zaidi along with debutant Azan Sami Khan. Written by Qaisra Hayat who has previously written Alif, Allah aur Insaan and directed by Amin Iqbal. The drama is currently being shot in Islamabad and the northern regions of Pakistan and with such a strong team on board we cannot wait to watch what this drama has to offer us. The drama is all set to be released on HUM TV in the coming days.
2. Sinf e Aahan
This female centric drama stars the five leading actresses of our industry, Sajal Aly, Yumna Zaidi, Syra Yousuf, Kubra Khan and Ramsha Khan. Written by the much celebrated Umera Ahmed and directed by Nadeem Baig. This ISPR production is based on the life of female cadets and is to be shot all over Pakistan. With such a strong line up of actors we have our high hopes placed on this one. The drama is all set to release on ARY Digital later this year.
3. Sang e Mah
A production of HUM TV, though this drama is currently in its initial pre production stages but it has caught our excitement. A sequel to the 2017 hit Sang e Mar Mar, written by Mustafa Afridi and Directed by Saif-e-Hasan. The drama is set to be shot in the north and the most exciting part is that reportedly Atif Aslam is all set to make his debut in this drama. As per reports, other cast members include Kubra Khan and Hania Amir along with the original cast of the previous season; namely Noman Ijaz and Sania Saeed. We cannot wait to find out more about this exciting project.
4. Amanat
ARY has upped its game this season as Amanat, another highly anticipated project is all set to release on the channel. Featuring an ensemble cast of Imran Abbas, Urwa Hocane, Haroon Shahid, Saboor Aly, Srha Asghar, Babar Ali and many more. Written by Rukhsana Nigar and directed by Shahid Shahfaat; we are super excited to catch this one on our screens soon.
5. Tumhare Husn Ke Naam
Featuring Saba Qamar and Imran Abbas for the very first time, it is written by Sarah Qayum with a screenplay by Umera Ahmed and directed by Saqib Khan. The play focuses on the story of these two individuals, and what is exciting is that we’ll get to see Abbas and Qamar in young to old roles. Reportedly it will be aired on A Plus in the next quarter. The play has been shot in Lahore and Karachi.
Besides these there are many more dramas that are in planning and production stages. Namely Main Manto Nahin Hu, Kashif Nisar’s untitled project with Rabia Butt and Geo TV’s upcoming drama starring Sana Javed and Feroze Khan.
