Decoding Faiza Saqlains latest bridal collection ‘KHURSHID’

Faiza Saqlain launched her new bridal collection featuring Mahira Khan. The collection comprised of five outfits, each outfit had a story to tell. Before we start decoding each outfit, we must mention the entire idea, execution and production of the campaign was magical. It was shot by Ashna Khan and makeup was done by Babar Zaheer. Mahira Khan looked her prettiest self in the campaign and more importantly we loved how this campaign captured the overall beauty of the mountains and the scenic localities of KPK.

Faiza Saqlain paid a tribute to her mother with this campaign, her social media handle quoted “In an attempt to pay tribute to an area that holds eminent importance in her life, Faiza Saqlain launches her Bridal collection, Khurshid. Dedicated to her mom, the collection is built around a theme that highlights the joy of living a slow paced life in a small town of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, a place of idyllic beauty in the mountains.”

Now coming to the outfits

1. Anamta: An ivory tulle double layered pishwas, hand worked using dabka, zardozi and hand cut sitara.

This light colored outfit is the classiest and graceful of all, truly depicting the weddings of the mountains and some really light intricate details elevate it to a whole new level.

2. Zarrin- A yellow tulle and silk lehnga choli set featuring floral motifs and bootis wrought using dabka, zardozi and resham among other hand embroidery techniques.

Your typical Mehndi outfit, the yellow color and the hand embroidery makes it a perfect fit for your big day.

3. Mahro - Aqua lehnga adorned with resham florals and celestial filigree rendered using zardozi, naqshi/dabka and patch work. Paired with a meticulously hand worked dupatta and choli.

This aqua lehnga choli is the one with most intricate details, we love the light yet unique color combinations and the dupatta elevates it to a whole new level.

4. Durkhanai- An emerald green hand worked set featuring delicate tracery and floral trellises on the gharara and meticulous booti work on the kameez. Paired with a hand embellished dupatta.

Probably our most favorite outfit of the lot, with a dark green and light golden color combination making it look a perfect outfit for a festive celebration. Also, the dupatta exudes old world charm making it our most favorite outfit.

5. Zarmina- A sumptuously hand worked red lehnga choli set wrought using zardozi, dabka, naqshi and embellished with sequins and resham.

This red outfit is your typical bridal outfit, but what makes it amazing is the designing and the intricately designed heavy embroidery on this bright red ensemble.
