Laapata, Parizaad & Hum Kahan Ke Sachay Thay: Who is winning the race?

HUM TV has launched some great dramas this season. The three newly launched drama on the channel are Hum Kahan Kay Sachay Thay, Lapata and Parizaad. The star studded dramas have already created a lot of buzz before their release because of the big names attached to them. Here we will be looking at how these three dramas are doing based on their content.

1. Parizaad

Written by the much acclaimed Hashim Nadeem and directed by the very talented Shahzad Kashmiri. Parizaad stars an ensemble cast with Ahmed Ali Akbar in the central role. Out all the three, this drama has managed to win us over with its sensitive storytelling and the suspense element in the play has us hooked. The message the drama is trying to deliver is very strong as well and we are completely hooked to the drama. Of the other cast, Ushna Shah and Saboor Aly have made their appearance with some really strong yet twisted characters. We are looking forward to Urwa Hocane , Noman Ijaz and Yumna Zaidi’s characters. However, at the moment the drama is going great and we have immense expectations from it.

2. Lapata

Lapata has started off on a very unique yet intriguing note. The overall script and direction by the debutant Khizer Idress is praiseworthy. The thriller element in the play is fascinating and gives it a whole new perspective. Out of the three main protagonists, we are loving the chemistry between Sarah Khan and Ali Rehman Khan, however it is Ayeza Khan as Geeti the TikTok star that has us hooked due to her immensely spontaneous performance. We as viewers are not sure what to make out of her character, sometimes she comes across as a character with negative shades and sometimes she comes across as a fun loving, loud character. It seems we’ll have to wait and see how the story proceeds and gets us hooked.

3. Hum Kahan Kay Sachay Thay

Marking the comeback of Mahira Khan and co starring the very talented Usman Mukhtar and Kubra Khan, this drama is based on Umera Ahmed’s old novel and we must say that right from the first scene we were hooked. The story telling by Umera Ahmed and Farooq Rind is extremely engaging and so are the performances. The complexity of the relationships and the grey characteristics are some of the major highlights of the drama. We have our big bets placed on this and we cannot wait to find out how things will proceed further. Not to forget, the mesmerizing soundtrack composed by Azan Sami Khan and sung by Yashal Shahid is magical.
