Licking our Fingertips with The Tipsy Co.

American street food is not a very famous cuisine in Pakistan. People here are used to the spices of Fruit Charts, Dahi Bhallay, Shakar Kandi, Samosa, etc. We are too used to the loud tastes of masalas in our culture, that the subtle tastes of hotdogs and bagels seem to be too bland.

However, The Tipsy Co have used the blend of some American street food and the spices that we are used to, in a way, that even an entire meal is not enough to satisfy our taste buds.

The chef has used his liberty of experimenting with the combination of sweet and sour to the eater’s benefit. One cannot decide between the tangy buffalo wings and the syrupy honey wings. Furthermore, the variety of natural flavours brings the mouthwatering delicacy of the tropical hotdog. An 8-inch wiener is topped with pineapple salsa cruda and turkey bacon bits…….what a sight it is!

However, the showstopper was the Poutine. Damn! Loaded Fries have never been so complete and delicious. The melted cheese on top of the crispy potatoes would have been enough, however, it’s the brown gravy that stole the show. The nuttiness in the gravy gave depth to the cheesy flavour of the curds. The fries themselves were fried to perfection, where they didn’t seem hard to bite but crunchy enough to hear. The Tipsy Co have given us a plate of promises and expectations for the future, and we look forward to see them meet my beliefs.
