Saku Hana: The Best Japanese Cuisine In Town

Japanese cuisines are not very common or famous in Pakistan. People here like the spice and tang of their favorite dishes, rather than subtle and natural tastes from Japanese food. We recently went to Saku Hana to test our taste buds and boy was it worth it.

The restaurant had such a beautiful and aesthetic entrance with neon lights and open aquariums welcoming people. The seating arrangement was extremely spacious, with the sushi station right at the front. A Japanese peach tree at the back of the restaurant made everything much more pleasant. The waiters and chefs were extremely sweet to greet us warmly and also inform us about everything that we were eating.

Now coming to the food! We were greeted with very delicious margaritas, that woke up our taste buds. The first appetizer was the Kani Salad. The mixture of the delicious iceberg, onions, cabbages, topped with Japanese mayonnaise made it very delightful. The crispy potato garnish gave the salad some more crunch. This was followed up by probably the most delicious thing we have eaten as a starter; Tori Tatsuage. It was fried chicken smothered with some spicy chilli sauce and garnished with some herbs. The dish was plated in a cabbage bowl, which was placed on a “churra” of vegetables. The chicken was extremely well cooked, and the sauce was very delicious. This was followed by three different types of Sushi that included, fish, prawns, and vegetables. They were also very delicious, and we had a hard time choosing which one we liked more. The sushi platter also served soy sauce, wasabi, and sweetened ginger as it is meant to be eaten between sushi servings to cleanse and refresh the palate. Eating all of them together were causing fireworks in our mouth. Personally, we would really recommend the Crunchy Maki to our readers.

The main course also had some fireworks. We were served 5 different dishes starting with very tasty garlic rice. This was followed by a Chicken Tepp that was served with sticky rice. It was really delicious and reminded us of Manchurian with rice that is famous in Chinese cuisines. The showstopper was the Chicken Chili which was extremely spicy and flavorful. The Saku Beef was also smothered with chilli sauce. It was extremely juicy, soft, and delicious. We finished our course with the Prawn Tepp which was a perfect way to end our outing.

We are thankful for Saku Hana’s management to invite us to the launch party of the restaurant. The food and their warmth made it a night to remember for us.

I guess you would be a foody, that you reached the end of this article. We also reviewed The Tipsy Co and their food, you can read it and give us your feedback in the comment section……
